Hi, I'm Libby Baensch
My passion to become a Relationship Therapist began with experiencing my own relational trauma and brokeness............and finding that healing, personal restoration and growth are possible, and so worth doing!
We all have issues we struggle with at times, especially relational ones. I love being able to help my clients feel safe enough to see what is happening, within themselves and their relationships, and to work towards the healing and relationships they desire.

I am an avid learner!
I like to get to the root of issues, and find out what really works in life and the healing process. My studies so far include -
- Master Degree of Clinical Family Therapy - Latrobe University/Bouverie
- Graduate Diploma of Counselling and Integrated Psychotherapy (Spiritual) - AIFC
- Graduate Diploma Family and Systemic Therapy - ACU/Williams Road Family Therapy Clinic
- Emotionally Focused Therapy Externship, Core Skills A and B - ACEFT
- Working Therapeutically with Complex Trauma Clients (Level 2)-Three Phased Approach (Blue Knot)
- Advanced Diploma of Counselling & Family Therapy (Christian) - AIFC
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessing
- RISE UP Professional Supervision certificate ā Optimise Potential
- Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision (in process) ā Supervision Alliance
My therapy style is client focused (what my clients want, and who they are, is at the centre of my work with them), integrated (I put together a mix of therapies that best suit my clients), systemic (people are not islands, those we live with, grew up with, really do matter, they affect us, and we them), attachment based (the idea that our need to feel safe and secure with those closest to us really, really matters, without it we are in distress, and this explains a lot!), experiential (together we notice what you are feeling and experiencing in the moment) and trauma immersed (I understand the impact of trauma on a person, and engage with all my clients in a way that promotes a sense of safety and empowerment).
I respectfully engage with clients from all walks of life and faiths. As a Christian, I have understanding, experience and Biblical training which some of my clients find deeply beneficial in processing life, relationships, sex, identity and emotional pain. When I'm not working I enjoy immersing myself in nature, watching sunrises, travelling, and time with my special loved ones.
